ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kurt was born and raised in Pennsauken, New Jersey. When he was in fourth grade, Kurt began taking saxophone lessons at his elementary school and he excelled in his instrument. Kurt's love for playing music continued. In high school Kurt expanded his musicianship abilities by learning other wind instruments including the flute, clarinet, piccolo, etc...

Kurt continued to pursue his passion for playing by enrolling at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received a B.A. in performance and education. Today Kurt uses his gifts to play musical solos, with band sections, and on music recordings. He is also an elementary school band teacher for the Pennsauken School District.

"At age 40 my wife Teri and I had been playing and singing at a lot of churches. God led us to a new church where there was great fellowship and music; meaningful messages, and Bible based youth groups for the children. I met other musicians that shared how we could have a personal realtionship with Christ. Since then our lives have been an ongoing process of growing closer to Christ and experiencing first hand His life changing power. God has blessed me with a talent for Music. I want to be put in situations where my gifts can be used in a musical form to worship God."

  • Studied with masters like Michael Guirra, Marshall Taylor, Vince Trombetta, Adeline Petucci, Harold Carabel, Tony Salacondro, Larry McKenna, and others;
  • Plays saxophone (all), Flute, Piccolo, Clarinet, Wind Synth, etc;
  • Sings Backup Vocals;
  • Has Played For Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Manhattan Transfer, Aretha Franklin, Mel Tormey, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Bernadette Peters, The Temtations, Nell Carter,  etc;
  • Played Saxophone For President Clinton's Inauguration At The Southern Ball  In Washington, D.C. President Clinton Borrowed Kurt's Sax During This Time And Played It;
  • Teacher of Saxophone, Flute, and Clarinet;
